Aquatic Charters offers 2 hour dolphin cruises aboard "Chase-N-Fins" in Pensacola Bay and Santa Rosa Sound watching Bottle Nose Dolphins in their natural environment. Along the way passengers can enjoy a sightseeing tour of the surrounding area including Fort Pickens, Fort Barrancas, Fort McRee and the Lighthouse aboard NAS Pensacola. Leatherback Turtles, Manta Rays, Herons, Pelicans and Ospreys are some of the other possible encounters during the cruise.
General Information
On occasion we are ask if we can "swim with the Dolphins". While that would be an awsome experience, federal law prohibits the feeding, touching or harassing of the animals and in the long run, the encounter is more rewarding getting them to perform naturally and respond to their own curiosity. The Dolphins we watch are wild animals in a bay over 3 miles wide and are on their own schedule so there are a few times (less than 5%) they are busy with their daily activities and we are unable to locate them. In the event this happens, we will offer you the opportunity to schedule a complimentary trip.
Chase-N-Fins
"Chase-n-fins" is a converted twin diesel 50' Navy Utility Launch certified for 49 passengers. Its an open boat with a partially shaded deck, restroom onboard and is wheel chair accessable. Ice cold bottled water is available onboard or bring your own cooler. Glass containers are not allowed.
